Care types

Here at Little Holland Hall we provide a wide range of round-the-clock care to suit different needs.

Our home team is part of Care UK, one of the UK’s largest providers of residential care for older people. We operate over 100 care homes and day clubs and deliver care to more than 7,000 people every day. Our strong ethos of care means that we work closely with you to tailor the care we provide to your loved one’s exact needs. Every person is different, so we take time to get to know your loved one right down to the smallest details of their lives, so that we can deliver care that’s entirely person centred.

We understand that searching for the right care home for a loved one isn’t something you do every day. That’s why we’ve put together this useful guide to the types of care we offer.

Nursing care

Our qualified and highly experienced nursing team is here night and day to deliver clinical care if your loved one needs additional medical care. We are able to care for residents with a variety of complex needs, from Parkinson’s Disease to multiple sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease or stroke. Our team creates a comprehensive care plan for every resident, regularly updating it, and working with GPs and specialist healthcare colleagues in local hospitals and surgeries to ensure your loved one receives the best possible care.

Residential care

If your loved one would now benefit from moving to a warm and friendly home where they’ll have round-the-clock attention, look no further. We pride ourselves on tailoring everything we do to your loved one’s needs and preferences so they can continue to enjoy a great lifestyle. However, they and you can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing that an experienced carer is only seconds away. Whether your loved one is still involved in a community group, likes to get up late, or wants their room laid out in a particular way, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate their aims and preferences.

As well as superb activities, entertainment and outings, we serve up delicious and nutritious menu options; bedrooms are beautifully furnished and individually decorated, and your loved one is welcome to bring treasured items to help them feel at home. We’ll take care of your loved one’s cleaning and laundry and our discreet care team is on hand to help your loved one with personal care – bathing and dressing – if they need it.

Residential dementia care

We understand the specific challenges faced by people living with dementia as their abilities change. Our team tailor everything we do to your loved one’s needs and preferences so they can continue to enjoy a great lifestyle, helping them to have meaningful experiences and to do the things they love.

Our home has been designed to create the best environment for people living with dementia, helping them to retain a sense of identity as well as independence and choice. We support them to dine with dignity and to enjoy the benefits of soothing and enriching activities such as music, art, light exercise, reminiscence, fresh air and the outdoors. Both you and your loved one can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing that an experienced carer is only seconds away.

Respite care

Caring for an older loved one at home can be physically and emotionally challenging. Making time for yourself now and again is a vital part of being a good carer – enabling you to recharge. Our short term respite care gives you the chance to have a holiday or to take some time out. We are also experienced in delivering convalescent care, supporting your loved one to get back on their feet after a stay in hospital and before they go home.

End of life care

We believe that every person deserves dignity and respect in all aspects of their care. This is perhaps most important as they approach the end of their life. Our caring and empathetic team provides highly sensitive and compassionate end-of-life care, working with your loved one and your family, as well as their GP and other health professionals, to plan your loved one’s care. We provide palliative care to manage pain and make your loved one as comfortable as possible, ensuring they receive the care they want, where and how they want it in their final days and hours.
